Triathlon and Para Triathlon Test Event
The event in brief
From 17 to 20 August 2023, Paris 2024 is organising four triathlon events to test several arrangements, such as the sports operations, one year before the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games. The Triathlon and Para Triathlon Test Events will set off from Pont Alexandre III, one of the capital’s most iconic bridges, classed as a historic monument, which connects the Esplanade des Invalides on one bank and the Grand Palais and Petit Palais on the other. The route, created by Paris 2024 working closely with World Triathlon, is truly spectacular. The athletes will pass through the heart of Paris, taking in some of the capital’s most beautiful monuments.
Paris, a pivotal stage in the quest for olympic slots
The men’s and women’s individual races will also offer potentially decisive points for the 2023 World Triathlon Championship Series. The stakes involved, the magnificent setting and the athletes present promise a breathtaking spectacle and outstanding performances, with the world’s best athletes coming to test out the route that will await them in Paris in 2024, ideal preparations with the Games less than one year away. We look forward to seeing many of you along the route – which is free to access – to watch their battle for the title of the world’s best triathlete, with the Paris 2024 Games in their sights!
